Procedure for Cheque Status Enquiry at Bank of Baroda

Mobile banking facility with Bank of Baroda, which is referred as BARODA M-CONNECT offers the valuable service of cheque status enquiry at BOB, as with few other non-financial transactions coming under its Account Information service provided under this exclusive service offered by the bank. This service is offered by BOB free of charge to its customers.

Bank of Baroda offers to its customers a service called BARODA M-CONNECT which enables an account holder to avail bank’s services from anywhere anytime, using one’s mobile phone.
This is primarily a SMS banking facility that the bank offers and it covers matters pertaining to

  • Account information
  • Payments and transfers
  • Bill payments
  • Support services

Under the Accounts information category the customer can do the following:

  • Make One’s bank balance enquiry
  • Obtain a Mini Statement for a specific period
  • Make Cheque Status enquiry at BOB
  • Instruct Stopping cheque payment
  • Do hot-listing of debit card

The section Payments and transfers enables one to do fund transfers to accounts within the bank or do fund transfers through NEFT to other bank accounts. This section enables one to do mobile recharge too.

With regard to the Bill payment section, a bank customer can do airline ticketing and movie ticketing using this facility.
The Support Services through BARODA M-CONNECT service includes facility for tracking the account holder’s service requests and also to locate the ATM or the Branches of BOB.

How can one avail this facility?

For availing the SMS services, a bank customer must have a Mobile phone connection and Mobile handset which is Java Compatible supporting the service. The bank’s website www.bankofbaroda.com provides information on which are all java compatible handsets

Further one should make registration with the bank for availing BARODA M-CONNECT facility, using the proper form at the branch of BOB. Alternatively, the customer can also use an ATM to register for Mobile banking, upon which one will be supplied with an URL Link for downloading the application, and in addition an application password and an mPIN to use Baroda M-Connect facility. mPIN is a 4 character pass code which is numeric to be used for authenticating all transactions through this facility,

The customers who have registered their Mobile numbers for SMS alerts can use the same number for BARODA M-CONNECT facility; alternatively, they can opt to use another number. As at present a customer can link 5 more accounts than the primary account registered with a Mobile number at BOB, where one can make cheque status enquiry at BOB in all these accounts.
